Back in Stock will start by asking for permissions – it will then go through the setup routine and check your store’s theme. If we have a premade integration for your theme, it will automatically apply it. This will add a Back in Stock button onto your product page. If we do not have an integration available for your theme, you will want to use the floating button integration. This will add our widget onto the side of the product page. If you want a theme integration for your theme, just get in contact with us on email@example.com, and we would be happy to get one setup for you.
We will now create your first notification. Back in Stock will navigate you to an active stock product. You can take a look at the new button widget and then sign up for a notification once the product is restocked. Shopify emails will be sent out to your customers automatically. The notifications can be limited, so only so many SM per level of stock. For example, if you restock five of our product and have the notification rate set to 2, it will send out 10 vacations each day or hour depending on setting. You can also set a minimum inventory quantity before any notifications will send out. On the dashboard, you can see a quick overview of incoming and outgoing notifications. If the out of stock product is still available for order, even though it may be out of stock, the ‘Notify me when available’ button will not appear on your product page. This usually happens for pre-orders, but it is an easy fix if you’d like the button to appear. Just follow the directions for enabling the button for preorder products. If you are still not able to get the button to appear, you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org, and we would be happy to help.
Does Back In Stock work with product variants? Eg. different sizes or styles?
Yes, Back in Stock will work for your products that are available in different sizes and styles. If a large is out of stock, but the rest of the sizes are still available, the ‘Email when available’ button will only show up for the specific size/style(s) that are out of stock.
Can I customize the style of the Back in Stock signup form to look more like my store?
Yes, you can customize your popup signup form to match your store’s branding. You can add custom CSS by navigating to Customize > Signup form > Custom Styles. Once you’ve added your styles to the field, click save.
Can I manually send a customer notification with Back in Stock?
No, you cannot send a manual Back in Stock notification because all alerts are automatically sent as soon as a product is restocked in your store.
