Analytics Dashboard and Reports

Back in Stock provides a powerful admin analytics dashboard to monitor conversions, most wanted out of stock items, as well as recent notifications sent to users.

Furthermore, store owners can access and download product and customer notifications reports to further explore data.

Conversion Tracking

The analytics dashboard includes built-in conversion tracking to measure the value of orders placed by customers receiving Back in Stock notifications. This valuable data helps store owners measure how well their customer notifications are performing.

A conversion occurs whenever a customer clicks a link from a Back in Stock email notification and places an order for the recently stocked product anytime in the subsequent 30 days. The order number and date of conversion is also viewable.

Products Report

The Products Report provides an overview of which out of stock products have had the most demand. Although the report is product variant specific by default, data can be viewed at the product level as well. Data can be sorted by product name, SKU, or notification count.

This report allows store owners to explore sent and unsent notification counts for specific products in addition to the total notification counts.

Customer Notifications Report

The Customer Notifications Report allows store owners to view customer notifications sent by Back in Stock. Fields include: customer name, customer email, customer conversion value, notification status (Sent or Unsent), product SKU, date of notification, and customer status (whether or not the customer unsubscribed to receive back in notifications).

Store owners can also archive and delete customer notifications in the Customer Notifications Report to cancel unsent notifications or remove certain notifications from the report.

Please Note: Reports can easily be exported to CSV format so that the data can be further explored or added to a particular database of the admin’s choosing. If site owners desire an even more comprehensive analytics dashboard, developers can use the Back in Stock API to build a custom dashboard. Only first-party cookies with an expiry of 30 days are used for conversion tracking. These are used in the checkout process to tag the orders of customers who previously signed up for Back in Stock notifications.

Admin Email Updates

Store owners can choose to have daily or weekly activity reports sent automatically to preferred email addresses. These reports give an overview of the previous day’s or week’s Back in Stock activity.

Store owners can also enable immediate alerts so that an email will be sent every time a customer signs up for a Back in Stock notification. This can act as a helpful reminder to a store manager to quickly restock a particular item.
